IJIS
The mission of the IJIS (Integrated Justice Information Systems) Institute is to apply industry expertise to assist justice agencies in the innovative use of advanced technologies to better share information in a way that benefits industry, the public sector, and society as a whole.

As an affiliate company of the IJIS Institute, Spillman’s research and design teams work intimately with law enforcement, public safety professionals, and other software vendors to help develop policies and create industry standards that improve and promote public safety information sharing.

Spillman is involved with both the LEITSC and IPSTC committees. LEITSC worked to create functional specifications for RMS and CAD systems that agencies can refer to when creating an RFP. The purpose of IPSTC is to prioritize the interfaces the public safety industry needs. IPSTC also organizes working groups that develop technical standards to support information exchanges between CAD and records systems from different vendors, as well as information exchange with other justice computer systems in prosecutor and court agencies.
