"The three biggest benefits to Spillman software are the dependability - it is up and running 24/7, the ongoing training, and the continual technology upgrades."

The following interfaces are available for use with Spillman Computer-Aided Dispatch software.

Paging

  • Through a partnership with Semotus Solutions, Spillman agencies can use HipLink® messaging software to send information from Spillman's Computer-Aided Dispatch solution to virtually any device, including smartphones, fax machines, and text-to-speech equipment.
  • Transmits pager messages from Spillman CAD to an alphanumeric pager.
  • Sends manual pages, or text messages created by the dispatcher, as well as automatic pages, or pages that contain data directly from CAD fields.
  • Sends pages to an individual user, an individual unit, or a group of users/units.

ProQA®

  • Transfers information between Spillman CAD and ProQA for Windows software for law, fire, or EMS incidents that involve medical treatment.
  • Copies information, such as the Spillman record number and the location of the incident, into the ProQA record.
  • Allows users to transfer information from ProQA back to the Spillman system, such as the ProQA response code, or the date and time a ProQA session was completed.
  • Spillman is certified in all three ProQA protocols: law, fire, and EMS, ensuring that Spillman’s Computer-Aided Dispatch solution and ProQA work together seamlessly.

CAD-to-CAD

  • Exchange call data with Spillman and non-Spillman dispatch centers.
  • Transfer call information that has been received by one agency but needs to be dispatched by a different agency.

Advantages

  • Automatic data transfer between separate systems reduces the need for duplicate data entry and diminishes the chance of human errors in copying data.
  • Track incidents between Spillman CAD and ProQA easily with CAD record and ProQA records that have the same response code and incident numbers.
  • Notify a group of users/units about an emergency without sending separate pager messages to each person or unit.
  • Improve interoperability by exchanging live call information during multijurisdictional emergency response.
  • Reduce dispatcher workload, save time, and increase accuracy by automatically populating call information into the appropriate fields.
