The unique message center provides patrol officers with a single-source location for all types of messages including alerts, e-mail style messages, state returns, local returns and instant messages.
Instant Messaging enables field officers and in-house personnel to communicate in real-time chat sessions. Send and receive personal, group, and specialized messages from individuals, your agency, and zone. A “who’s available” display indicates which officers and personnel are online or offline. Use emoticons to personalize your messages, plus send web links or photos to other officers. Instant Messaging is useful for off-air communication between dispatch and mobile, between field units, or from anyone using the Spillman system.
You can also search and view local and state returns within Mobile Messenger. When you exit the local or state return, Mobile Messenger will automatically save it for up to 48 hours for future reference.
ATL and BOLO messages are instantly viewable in a pop-up window for all active users. Pop-up alerts can be customized for the group of individuals that receive the alert. Once the alert window is closed, alerts scroll at the bottom of the screen for constant notification, until the defined alert time expires.
