Key Benefits:
Return on Investment
With regular upgrades at no additional cost, your agency will see a continual return on its investment. As a Spillman customer, you will receive periodic upgrades and enhancements. Spillman invests millions of dollars each year in research and design, and 80 percent of product enhancements are a result of customer requests. Additionally, Spillman follows a distinctive site license pricing model for desktop modules, contributing significantly to the long-term savings and value of the Spillman system.
Managing Resources
Use Spillman to better manage your agency’s resources and improve job satisfaction and retention. With Spillman’s Personnel Management module, you can track employees’ unique skills, language fluency, and certifications. This allows you to identify unmet needs within your department, recruit or train employees as needed, and ensure that existing employees remain current with training and certification requirements. The Employee Workload screen allows you to monitor the workload of each employee. In addition, Spillman’s reliable, stable system provides your employees with peace of mind.
Quick Reporting
Efficiently complete reports using Spillman’s ERS Fire and EMS Records interface. Information gathered in Spillman’s CAD module is automatically transferred into corresponding reporting fields. Red and green icons at the top of the screen show you which steps are complete and which have yet to be completed, preventing you from submitting a report until data has been entered into all required fields. The interface is integrated and compliant with both the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) 5.0 and the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS) Gold Certification EMS Standards. Once an incident is authorized, the validated record is submitted to NIFRS on a predetermined schedule.
Improved Efficiency
Spillman’s quick data access, mobile communication, and computer-aided dispatching allow your department to respond to incidents quickly and efficiently. Using Spillman’s Fire Mobile CAD module, you can use the Today screen to post important messages for your department and add links to frequently used websites. With the Fire Mobile AVL Mapping module, you can make informed tactical decisions by viewing all incidents and responding units, as well as weather and wind conditions, on an electronic map. Map layers allow you to see water sources, schools, and other critical information that could affect your department’s response. Spillman’s Fire Mobile Premises and HazMat module allows you to view critical details such as what chemicals are stored at an occupancy and what hazards they present, contact information for responsible parties, and the location of the Knox Box and gas shutoff valves. You can also view attachments to the premises record, such as fire pre-plans, building floor plans, and evacuation plans.
Time-saving Response Plans
Prepare planned responses, including personnel and equipment recommendations and incident instructions, using Spillman’s Response Plans module. You can define which agencies and units will respond to a fire or EMS call and view a comprehensive list of resources, such as equipment or vehicles, available within your agency or a neighboring agency’s jurisdiction.
Robust Features
Spillman offers additional modules and interfaces to meet your fire department’s alarm tracking and billing, equipment and fleet maintenance, premises inspections, and aerial oblique imagery needs.
