The software records changes in the location, status, and custodian of evidence items, providing you with a detailed history from the time your agency receives an item until its release or disposal. You can also track temporary location changes, such as lab analyses and court appearances, for each evidence record.

Convenient Evidence Management

Simplify data entry, labeling and inventory with Spillman’s Evidence Bar Code & Audit Interfaces module. You can manage evidence quickly and easily by attaching bar codes to items. Using a handheld bar code reader, you can then inventory and audit an evidence room for tracking item location and movement. The module allows you to track which items are up for review and which are scheduled to be destroyed. You can also easily enter multiple evidence items in one submission by using the “scan” option while you scan each item’s bar code.

System Integration

You can link evidence records created within the Evidence Management module to the appropriate name, vehicle, property, and law incident records already stored in the Spillman system, eliminating duplicate entry for your personnel. In addition, using you can attach images to each evidence file using Spillman’s Imaging module

Record a full range of detailed information about evidence using the Evidence Management module. You can document where the item is stored, its identification number, comments, and activities associated with the item. The software also allows you to add, modify, and search for existing records within the Evidence Management screen.
