Spillman Solutions Selected by Utah’s Third-Largest County
LOGAN, Utah – April 15, 2004 – Spillman Technologies announced today that it was selected by the Davis County Sheriff's office to deploy its public safety software solutions to assist with records management, dispatching, and mobile patrol. The sheriff's office is the 54th Utah agency to select Spillman software, and the fifth Utah agency to select Spillman in the past year.
We were looking for a way to collect data more efficiently,” said Sheriff Bud Cox, whose office serves some 240,000 residents in Utah's third-largest county. We're confident that this is a good move to improve our ability to provide dispatch and other services throughout the county.”
The Sheriff's Office provides emergency dispatch services for more than 20 other police, fire, and public safety agencies in Davis County. The new software implementation will enable the dispatch center to achieve Phase II compliance with FCC guidelines, which includes the ability to accurately track the location of cell phone calls to 911.
Cox said Spillman was selected because of the company's customer-friendly reputation. Spillman has shown they are open to communication, and are flexible enough to go the extra mile.”
Spillman Technologies provides a full range of software solutions for public safety agencies, including Computer-Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Mobile Communications, Jail Management, Fire/EMS Management, and Resource Management solutions. The software is installed at more than 500 agencies nationwide.
