Spartanburg County adopts integrated data system

SALT LAKE CITY – October 18, 2007 –The Spartanburg County Detention Facility and the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina have adopted a new software system from Spillman Technologies, providing the ability to efficiently manage the 700-inmate jail and oversee a population of nearly 300,000 residents.

The county went live in September with Spillman's Integrated Hub and Law Records, Pin Mapping, Traffic Information, Jail Management, Inventory Management, and other software modules. Spillman's InSight data sharing solution will also allow the agency to collaborate with other county divisions and regional jurisdictions.

Using Spillman software, agency personnel can generate reports for crime analysis and plot incident data on a pin map. Spillman's Traffic Information module allows the agency to record the time and location of accidents that occur in its jurisdiction and track citations and warnings. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office can also use Spillman software to easily monitor and improve traffic conditions within its community.

The Spartanburg County Detention Facility can also use Spillman software to boost operations at the corrections center. The new software gives personnel the ability to manage inmate records and activities. Using Spillman's Jail Management module, agency personnel will be able to easily book inmates and track inmate visitation.

We are confident that Spillman will be able to serve the diverse needs of Spartanburg County and help them maintain a robust, stable database,” said Joe Lunt, vice president of sales and marketing for Spillman Technologies.

Spillman Technologies provides a full range of software solutions for public safety agencies, including Computer-Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Mobile Communications, Corrections Management, Fire/EMS Management, Resource Management, and Data Sharing. The software is installed at more than 700 agencies nationwide.
