Spillman helps Fair Lawn streamline information management

SALT LAKE CITY – January 11, 2008 – A new public safety software system will enable the Fair Lawn Police Department to easily generate reports for crime analysis, conveniently manage calls and records, and access information while responding to an incident.

The New Jersey agency is adopting solutions from Spillman Technologies, a leading public safety software provider headquartered in Salt Lake City.

Spillman's innovative software will help the Fair Lawn Police Department expand its law enforcement capabilities and better serve the city's nearly 32,000 residents. The agency is adopting modules from Spillman's Records, Dispatch, Mobile, and Resources solutions.

Using Spillman's Computer-Aided Dispatch module, the Fair Lawn Police Department will have the ability to enter names, addresses, and other information into the Spillman database and communicate call information and alerts in real time.

With Spillman's Mobile Records module, officers working in the field will be able to easily access information and create reports from their laptop computers. Officers will also be able to communicate with one another instantly using Spillman's Mobile Messenger module.

Fair Lawn Police Department employees will be able to use Spillman's Inventory Management and Personnel Management modules to conveniently track equipment purchases and maintenance information and keep detailed employee records.

The Fair Lawn Police Department will become one of five public safety agencies in New Jersey and more than 700 agencies nationwide already using Spillman products.
