Four Delta County agencies adopt Spillman software

SALT LAKE CITY – Oct. 15, 2008 – Innovative software is enabling the Delta County Sheriff's Office and Delta, Hotchkiss, and Cedaredge police departments to better manage data and create a more efficient dispatch system.

The four Colorado agencies are using software from Spillman Technologies, a leading public safety software provider headquartered in Salt Lake City. With Spillman's Law Records module, the agencies can consolidate all of their incident records into one database and easily track cases from beginning to end.

The agencies are part of a shared software system with the Delta County Sheriff's Office serving as the host. The Delta County agencies are improving regional crime-fighting efforts by sharing data with neighboring Mesa and Montrose counties, which are also Spillman customers.

In addition to the Law Records module, the agencies also purchased Spillman's Computer-Aided Dispatch and Jail Records modules, and the Live-Scan Fingerprinting and Swanson Commissary interfaces.

The software has also allowed the Delta County Detention Facility to streamline its inmate booking and easily assess inmate's medical and security needs. Administrators at the 60-inmate jail now have the ability to easily manage inmate court appearances and doctor appointments using the Jail Records module.

The agencies will join a total of 13 public safety agencies in Colorado using Spillman products. The agencies went live with the new software this summer.

Spillman Technologies provides a full range of software solutions for public safety agencies, including Records Management, Computer-Aided Dispatch, Mobile Communications, Corrections Management, Fire/EMS Management, Resource Management, and Data Sharing. The software is installed at more than 700 agencies nationwide.
