Agency chooses Spillman to aide jail, field operations
SALT LAKE CITY – April 3, 2009 – The La Plata County Sheriff's Office has selected Spillman Technologies to boost data management and mobile software capabilities.
Using Spillman's Mobile Records module, deputies can search for names, vehicles, incidents, property, and wanted persons with a single query. Queries also provide comprehensive search results from local, state, and national databases.
In addition, Spillman's Jail Records module allows the county to streamline the booking process for its jail operations. Using the new system, personnel can quickly assess an inmate's risk and medical condition as well as maintain detailed histories for each inmate.
The southwestern Colorado agency also purchased Spillman's State Link, Imaging, and Traffic Information modules as well as its InSight product.
Spillman's Traffic Information module enables the agency to record the time and location of accidents as well as causes and damages incurred. Deputies can identify traffic safety problems and establish ways to improve traffic conditions.
The La Plata County Sheriff's Office is one of 28 public safety agencies in Colorado and more than 750 agencies across the nation using Spillman software. The agency will go live with its Spillman system in the spring of 2009.
Spillman Technologies provides a full range of software solutions for public safety agencies, including Records Management, Computer-Aided Dispatch, Mobile Communications, Corrections Management, Fire/EMS Management, Resource Management, and Data Sharing.
