What to Expect When You’re Implementing

When your agency implements a new public safety software system, many people depend on the transition going well. Officers need the software to work for them to do their jobs. If they can’t do their jobs, then the safety of the public is at risk. Stakeholders must take certain steps to avoid bumps in the road and ensure a smooth transition. One might think responsibility for a successful implementation lies solely with the software vendor’s project management team. In reality, the agency must work in tandem with Project Management in order to get the desired result: a fully functioning system.
